Vispārēja informācija par banknošu reproducēšanu
The Banco de México is responsible for the issuance of banknotes and coins. The authorisation of the reproduction of currency is the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance (Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público). The 17th article of the Mexican monetary law prohibits the imitation and total or partial reproduction of metallic coins and of banknotes, domestic and foreign is on signs, cartoons, advertisments or in any other way, except in cases in which the Ministry of Finance has expressly authorised it, after consulting the Banco de México. No law explicitly prohibits the reproduction of currency in offensive or violent contexts (e.g. as part of pornographic or violent material). However, permission has always been refused for this type of reproduction.
Reproducēšana iespieddarbos
A banknote may be reproduced if the reproductions are smaller than 75% or larger than 125% of the original banknote. Partial and low resolution images are preferred, but if this is not the case, it does not constitute grounds for disapproval, as other aspects are also reviewed. Reproductions that, in the opinion of the central bank, constitute or promote counterfeiting, or that may be confused with a legally issued banknote, are not authorised. Applicants are usually asked to ensure that the size of the reproductions differs by at least 25% with respect to the size of the real banknotes.
Reproducēšana elektroniskajos saziņas līdzekļos
Low resolution images are preferred, but there are no specific limitations.
